Jesse started welding in the oilfield in 2002. He started his own business and rigged up a truck to be a contract welder.

Jesse and Valerie met in 2008 and after 10 years in the health care field, Valerie decided to work with Jesse in the oilfield as his helper.

They worked side by side for 3 years on various projects for multiple companies in shops and in the field.
There were some challenges and lots of lessons learned. Every lesson was added to their portfolio of experience.

Jesse always knew he wanted to retire early or at the very least he would leave the beauty of Northern Alberta, continue working and live the life of a perma-vacationer somewhere warm but not too far from family.

That’s when they found Denman Island.

When they moved to Denman Island they bought bare land and have been hard at work every day since to develop their property, build their home, their shop and create their business.

When they first got to Denman they worked small welding jobs with Jesse’s mobile rig. They have slowly built their business to include a shop and more tools to help jobs become more efficient and to be able to offer more services. They have since added a bandsaw, rolling machine, hydraulic press and 4’x8′ CNC plasma table.

They built their shop on Denman so they could live out their dreams of living in paradise while being their own bosses.

They are passionate about creating custom pieces that clients look forward to using on a daily basis. Jesse and Valerie have a lot of fun working together, being creative and building custom quality products.

They look forward to new challenges that will allow them to continue learning and improving their craft.
